‘Always Remembered’. Honouring the Women and Children and Pets who have died…

Posted by carolom on February 18, 2017

I was invited to facilitate The ART Of Change  program Always Remembered

A group of women who had each experienced trauma and violence wanted to create art work that honors the lives of the women and children and pets who have lost their life in domestic violence and to inspire other women to claim their power to leave an abusive relationship.

We created black and white mandalas  for coloring in as a meditation and relaxation colouring book  for women living in shelters and emergency accommodation and we also used the designs to create book marks and badges.

The women who participated in this amazing project experienced a significant culmination of their own journey of recovery from domestic violence and will now be taking the message of Always Remembered  and the power of art for healing and empowerment, back to some of the shelters where their journey first began.

My life long friend was killed by her husband in 2001, he then killed himself and my friends sstory and the memorial art I created in the week after her death inspired me to share in the message of the importance of our right to be safe, loved and respected at all times..

“I AM at Home with Peace and Prosperity”

Posted by carolom on July 4, 2008

This was the theme for our empowerment art work this week…to become comfortable with Peace and Prosperity when there has been a history of chaos and poverty….

I am ever amazed at the completely individual and unique creations that emerge from the same black and white template……..

The Winter of content…

Posted by carolom on June 22, 2008

It was raining yesterday afternoon and after the months of drought and over 10 days where the temperature reached 100oF a few months ago, the winter rains and green-sheen everywhere are very welcome in this desert state.

I was sitting under the back verandah with the two semi-homeless garden cats, Gabrielle- [Gabi] and her daughter Shima. You can see how gorgeous they are:

The garden was humming with rain drops and birds and leaves blowing down from the Cedar Trees
late autumn fall:

…and I remembered back to when I first moved in here and all I could see was a barren, dry patch of soil…

…..and how this piece of Mother Earths blank canvas taught me more about process, time, holding a vision, weeding and seeding, than I could ever have imagined when I first moved here during a trials-and-tribulations winter of discontent….

In our ‘outcomes’ driven, western society I learnt that the answers we are seeking about sustainable change and growth are to be found in Mother Nature’s process of Time, cycles and seasons….

……and how wonderful it is to create a room with out walls and a fireplace whose only chimney is the sky….

Adelaide in South Australia is traditionally named ‘Tandanya’ , home of the Red Kangaroo.

Living and growing and learning and sharing on traditional Aboriginal Land, Kaurna Country has its own special strand of environmental magic and possibility….As my good buddy Nungala reminds me:

“It can happen so much better and so much faster if you acknowledge the Ancestors and remember the Dreaming”…..

Art of Community- Women drawing Change…

Posted by carolom on June 8, 2007

I was invited to facilitate a Community Art project celebrating 30 years of service to the community by a domestic violence accommodation and support service.
We created 6 installation Mandalas over 5 weeks with a group of women who had been housed by the agency in the last few years.
At the end of the the project one of the participants said that reconnecting with her creativity made her think beyond being a ‘survivor of domestic violence’ and “I found parts of me I didn’t know were there”….another participant went on to employment in the human services sector – part of that process was beginning to look forward as a result of looking back to where she was when she first entered the agency in crisis…

The staff of the shelter also created a piece that represented the inspiration they find in the Womens stories and their courage to change.

Heres a photo of four of the 6 Art of Community Mandalas with a description of the theme we used to create it:

The Future is in our Hands
This Mandala is created by a circle of hands that reflect the power we have to make new choices & create new dreams.

Our Strength as Women
Who is the “Warrior Woman”, what are her strengths & how does she go about creating change and developing the life she desires?

30 years of Service
Many Women and Children have passed through the doors since 1977 and the agency is an important part of the community. This art piece reflects the role that the agency has played in creating a safer, more peaceful community.

World Peace Begins at Home
Our home should be the place where we feel safe and at peace. This Mandala has the theme of the Peace Dove and reflects the importance of living in a safe & peaceful home.

The Mandalas now sit on the wall of the group room of the agency…..

Reconciliation Week 2007

Posted by carolom on June 1, 2007

Reconiliation Week draws to a close .
Here are some of the images I took last weekend…

The Ceremony Honouring Aborignal Service Men and Women…once they returned to home soil after fighting side by side, Aborigines were not allowed to drink in hotels with their fellow Servicemen /women…

Val …..a long term activist and artist- known for her colourful attire and powerful orations

Gifts from Service clubs and Govt deptartments for Kaurna Plains School. Kaurna Plains is an Aborginal School where language is taught and culture kept strong…..

Including “Survival in our Own Land”…a powerful history of the impact of colonisation on Nunga (Aborignal people) is a book every Australian should read…

Later in the morning people gathered for the annual march…and Karl prepared the fire ceremony

Then my good buddy Katrina appeared from the crowd with a politcal statement about the decline of Aboriginal social Justice issues in the 10 years of Howards government. she really got the crowd thinking…

Katrina was the first Aboriginal journalist for Murdoch’s press. You can hear some of her story in a short doco we made with her..click on NTV4 on the T.V graphic

The Fire was lit and carried down to the River side where there was music and celebrations

Later in the week I was honoured to present the Art of Change as co-host at a Wellness Camp and we created some empowerment heart together…

Reconciliation Week 2007…perhaps in 2008 there will be further Celebrations as the new government meets its agreement to formally apologise for the Stolen Generation and begin to redress the balance Energetically between Black and non-Black Australia.

A New Batch of Warrior Women…Strong Mind and Peaceful Heart

Posted by carolom on April 7, 2007

Each week in my ART of Change ~ Law of AttrACTION program we make a piece of Art /Craft the embodies that weeks discussion…

As an artist and life coach I place a great deal of importance on the visual /auditory AND kinestic process of learning – Seeing, Hearing and Doing- CREATING …the way we learnt as young children in a visually rich, imaginative and engaging environment works for adults in ways that sitting passively with a white board and speaker does not engage with all of the preferred learning styles….

e.g. When looking at the “Poverty to Prosperity Consciousness” week we make a ProsperiTree:

When embarking on the journey to call on the “Warrior Woman Within” we create her as we discuss who She is…
They are made from a basic black and white template…

These are some of the new flock of Warrior Women that were birthed in a domestic violence outreach group that I had the privilege of facilitating over 5 weeks….

The headress symbolises the importance of developing Strong Thoughts forms and controlled Thinking
The Heart is the importance of connecting with Feelings but not solely driven by emotional responses to the world
And the wings demonstrate that when we are centred and balanced and understand the Power we have to create our Reality….we can fly like \never before…..

My wonderfully-creative Mother even made a couple of Warrior Women of her own…they now travel to workshops with me and inspire others with their creative gorgeousness….
You can see her with them here…….

The ART of ACTION in Creative AttrACTION…

Posted by carolom on February 17, 2007

Thinking about what we sew and what we reap as a result of what we Think, Say……and do…

As within Sew without…

I have been sharing some of the Art work we are creating as part of our Art of Change ~ Empowerment group and I took a few photos of the visual Art~record book that I am keeping through out our year long, once a month group.
I am very grateful to my good friend Deanna (Nungala) for partnering in this process and bringing her unique Magic! to the Vision.
I believe that part of the ACTION in AttrACTION is about getting Creative and the Vision board is just a small part of how we can CREATE our own personal ‘sacred objects’ as a fun, engaging and highly charged Magnet of Intent in the manifestation process.

How long is it since you allowed yourself to play with pencils, textas, scissors, cardboard drawing and IMAGINATION
These 2 images represent our first weeks discussion and “Heart of Gold- Heart of Goals” exercise.

The image signifies that we create our ‘pot of Gold’ by clearly stating our Intent and bringing passion, vision, imagination and ACTION into our life…

We looked at how much our body ‘wears’ the impact of not only stress…but the ‘language of stress”…things like “it’s a pain in the neck’….’she makes me sick to my stomach’…on and on the list goes.

In order to learn how to develop our ‘attraction  skills…..it is important to treat our Self  with great Respect and care.
In the second image little ‘Suzy’ went from being a Magical Child with big dreams and imaginings at 5 years old …to a 30-something woman now living an anxious, fearful life….What made her that way?……Check out the dozens of limiting beliefs and negative projections that she inherited through out her growing years….

You can read more about “The Magical Child in Exile” here:

The story of how we lose the natural state of our Childhood Magic…and that it is never too late to find it again….

We created a “Money DOES grow on Trees” PropseriTree in order to become comfortable with the sight and feel and presence of Money, as part of the raising the expectation~vibrations when moving from poverty to Prosperity Consciousness….

This week our ART of the piece was the “Your Word is Your Wand” and “We are all Magnets” ….created with the Intent to heighten our awareness of the nature of Energy, Vibration and Intention..
This is the blank copy that I created whilst sitting under the most magnificent Gum-tree full of wonderful Spirits (more on that in the next blog)……you can also see a couple of the works in progress …

Here are some the the Artist~Creators with their “You Word is your Wand” pieces….
Wonderful Women who are beginning to share some amazing insights and ‘ah~ha!!’ moments as we study concepts such as  “If it is to be it is up to me” principles for creating peace, health, prosperity  and happiness in order to transcend the issues of marginalsiation facing Aboriginal Australia.

Money Does Grow on Trees…it’s called a ProsperiTree!

Posted by carolom on January 17, 2007

Celebrating our IndividualiTree…

Creating Empowerment Art is a process that engages people on an auditory, kinaesthetic, visual, emotional / Spiritual level which reflects the mulitplicity of peoples preferred learning styles , whilst also relieving them from the boredom of having to sit still during workshop training.

As we study the principles of “I create my reality” we create Art work that embodies the essence of the session and  the art work, which I call ProsperArty, then comes to live with us in our homes, art work that embodies self-created Intent and is also a subliminal reminder of all that we discussed in the session that day.

This week we looked at moving from Poverty to Prosperity.

From Harm to Harmony

When living in and having been born into poverty the patterns of inherited limitation and expectation of lack can run very deep so this week I made a ProsperiTree for the Women to create one of their own

It is made by tracing the hand and arm to form the branches and trunk, thus claiming:“My Prosperity is in my Hands”

Then we fill the abundant foliage with the larger currency notes, decorate it with the Vision and intent of a brighter and more abundant path in life.
Don’t we have colourful currency here in Oz?

Having the ProsperiTree on the wall in the home enables the ProsperiTree Creator to get used to SEEING money and being FAMILIAR. ~FAMILY~are~with the presence of money in their life.
The Law of Attraction is empowered when FEELING + ACTION are passionately engaged.

Getting into the FEELING of abundance in order to overcome lack and limitation!

ProsperiTree in Development:

There are many misconceptions around Money so in the between weeks of our monthly “Art of Change ~ Law of Attraction Empowerment Group”, the participants, under the skilled guidance of Deanna -Nungala, are studying The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles .
Here are some of the ProsperiTree Goddesses showing the forest of new opportunities that they have ‘drawn’ into their life.

Once we have had the “Wow” of new information and insight, the Law of Attraction requires us to begin to ACT as part of the co-creative process and to FEEL the feelings of how the new, wonderful things will look and feel and smell and taste.
Wow!! Then HOW?  Followed by NOW!

Thankyou Oprah for sharing that insight on the Anniversary Collection DVD set. I thoroughly agree that once people have ‘heard the new news, it is important that they then receive the information about how.

CHANGE is a full-bodied, experience and ‘drawing’ in those changes we begin to work more consciously  with the Law of Attraction along with  the process of time and seasons and cycles.

Empowerment Art is a heart warming, creatively empowering way to develop our creativity  manifestation skills that are often still embryonic by the time we reach an age of self enquiry and embark on the journey within.

EMpower =
MEpower!

How did so many end up so disconnected from the magical, creative self we knew ourselves to be as children?
I wrote a piece that might explain what happened to some and thankyou to those wonderful teachers who were able to ensure that the co-creative magic was not lost, whilst so many others inadvertently put out the fires of magic and possibility that burn so brightly in  children.

Click on the The Magical Child in Exile to read a story that might belong to you.

Weapons of Mass Distraction…

Posted by carolom on January 14, 2007

WORDS SWORD…….same word…often similar in meaning when you consider that a Sword can both slash to ribbons or sculpt with finite precision.

If our Words, like the Sword are a weapon…..we‘a’ Pon……which we can learn to wield with power and influence….then it would have to be a good idea to consider the whole gamut of ‘weapons’ including those that will only move us away from our goal of connection, peace, power and prosperity so we know….sew we know…..when to exercise caution and redirection of Attention……..

This is my first draft of an A ~ Z list of Weapons of Mass Distraction that define what not to do /be/ think /reflect upon /speak/ say/ act/ beleive /visualise when consciously co~creating the life we were born to live…..

Weapons of mass distraction:
Arrogance
Bitterness
Cynicism and Criticism
Doubt
Egocentricity
Fear
Greed
Hatred
Insecurity
Jealousy
Killing
Lying
Machinating Media
Neurotic~thinking
Obsessions
Pettiness
Quoting doom
Racism
Sexism and Sarcasm
Tyranny
Unforgiving of self and others
Vituperativeness
Worry
X partner issues
Zealous attachments

Interestingly the act of simply giving THOUGHT to ‘weapons of mass distraction’ creates a different feeling within than the alternate word list of words that construct and create in a way that keeps us connected to the source….LOVE.

I remember the informative scene in “What the Bleep” where it was explained that every single emotion has a chemical equivalent and how the chemicals associated to the list above would be of the kind that flood-the-blood with the chemistry of the toxins of disconnection and ill health.

Many people think and feel themselves into a state of ill health and sour-disposition….focusing on only pain and cruelty in the inner and outer world……..our hospitals are filled with that particular manifestering of the amazing way we humans are Creators.

WEAPONS OF MASSive ATTRACTION”
…in no particular Order…..AWEder…..

Thankyou
Please
Gratitiude
Yes!
Beautiful

Show me the way
I Love you
Gorgeous
Playful
Creative
Happy
How can I be of assistance?
Let’s share our resources……
Wow! This is a great opportunity

I took this photo of two bees doing their thing and simply BEE~ing….
Undistracted by extranneous thought or concern as to whether there will be enough pollen to go round, they simply get on with what they are here to do….to create the sweet elixir of life…..Honey…….they are not unlike us…..we are here to co-create the sweet elixir of life from the ‘ONE’y………;)

EVERYthing is Energy….

Posted by carolom on January 13, 2007

We live in an “Electrical Universe”

What do you notice about the following sentence?

“She was happy that her current circumstances had improved and continued to do so with increasing frequency.
She was now generating more income and even found people commenting that the manner in which she conducted her business affairs was very inspirational.
It seemed that her circumstances were now really moving in the direction she had decided on some time ago and she was even thinking about upping the amplitude somewhat and developing the business further than she had first envisioned
Only last week her close friend observed that many of the new strategies she had put in place, demonstrated a really enlightened approach to business and marketing.
There was an element of surprise on all of this……..

Frequency
Current
Generates
Conducts
Amplitude
Enlightened
Circumstances…..circuit~stances
Element

All of these words are words that are used when speaking the language of both electricity and “electrical” verbs, adjectives and nouns. They are words that relate to both the conduct of electricity and the conduct of Human Affairs.

The electrical activity of the brain can be tracked. People who conduct an exceptionally high voltage of electrical currents can experience a range of phenomena from epilepsy through to conducting brain activity that is often termed manic enduring thought currents that become rapid, discordant and often create havoc and heartache.

The movie “Powder” dramatised what happened when someone become SO highly charged that, like with electrolysis, all body hair falls out and the person is quite literally a conductor of electricity. Because Powder conducted such high frequencies he was able to feel the feelings, thoughts and intentions of the world around him. There was no barrier between “you and me”.

It is interesting to note the following words:

Manic
Shamanic
Magi
Imagination
Magic
MagNETic
Genius….The ~Genie~In~Us

Ionosphere:
“A region of the Earths atmosphere (“atom=sphere”), extending from about 60 kilometres to approx 1,000 kilometres above the Earths surface, in which there is a high concentration of free electrons formed”.

Vibration
Communication
Vision
Concentration
Inspiration
Emotion
Tradition
Motivation
Generation
Action
Imagination

Ionosphere…..I~On~O~Sphere….”The circuit of Life”….

Indigenous people of many Earth~Cosmology based cultures understand the nature of the Electrical Universe that we are a part of and is a part of us…. They differ vastly from the European way of conducting affairs.

A common link that many Indigenous cultures share, including the African people, Aboriginal Australians, Native American and Canadian, Egyptians and the Ancient Greeks, is that deeply woven into culture and spiritual practices, communion with nature and the everyday life, is a very different relationship with time and space than in the European world view and the early Christian view of dominion over Earth and Animals.

As is the relationship with the elements

Time is circular and the movement thought time and space, communion with the Animals, Plants, Sky and Earth transcends the physical realm and accesses the neuro lattice work of the Mind. The One Mind at a much higher frequency. How One’derful is that?!

OM
One Mind

The Shaman, Medicine Men and Women and people of high degree consciously work for the highest good of the community in the invisible space where the Spirit world, the Energetic world and the co-creative world where Mind and focused intent meet.

The Human mind is a powerfully wired conductor of Electricity and has a complex system of chemistry and neurological pathways ways that control the nervous system functions of thousands of bodily movements, actions and processes

The brain stem is a stalk of nerve fibres and nuclei that joins the spinal cord to the cerebellum and cerebrum and the brain stem centres automatically control activities like breathing, heartbeat, and digestion.

Neurons are nerve cells and neuro networks form the nervous system, the word “neurotic” pertains the “neuro”.. or nervous system.
A neurotic person is often anxious, uptight, obsessive and generally conducting themself in a way that does not bring peace of mind and happiness into their life.

New- rows of thinking may be an answer to the old neuros that define fixed states and unchanging behaviors.
Electrical pathways between Heaven and Hell within.

Many people know that there is a vaster Universal Mind that many people contact with sporadically and unconsciously.
The Universal Mind may well be the 90% of our brain that Einstein stated remains unused.

God is not the Zeus-like bearded Father in the Sky who sent his Son to Earth, except for those who believe that to be so. To be sew.
God is the life force that governs all things, governed by Universal Laws that are exact and finite.

Whilst people hold onto prescriptive religious interpretations of a stern Father in the Heavenly skies, they may never truly understand the lessons made available by  miracle-making’s main star, Jesus.

He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also…

As a Master Alchemist, Energy~conductor Healer and Psychic, Jesus also knew that Thought and Intention conduct the most powerful currents in the Universe and that what we say every day is coded with enormous creative potential.

Therein lays the meaning of “In the beginning was the Word” and “the Word was made flesh”…….

We are all conductors in the Orchestra, the Awechestration of our life or conducterrs depending on the frequency of right action.

“Conducting ourselves correctly” has many meanings indeed.

We are both the Conductor and the instrument, the melody and the lyrics, an instrument  in the orchestra and the ‘awechestration’ of our life.

Wow!
